Definition’s of the Training Types used
Split Routines: An exercise routine that works different muscle groups on different days.
Total Body Training Routines: An exercise routine that works muscles of the total body on the same day.
Caveman Training™ Routines: Custom designed, trademark protected, training routines that combine all types of training into a high paced, grueling training session with a predetermined fitness goal.
Long and Slow Cardiovascular Training Routines: Cardiovascular training routines with an intensity level equal to approximately 70% Vo2 Max or 80% Max HR. It is usually done for a minimum of 30 Minutes.
Interval Style Cardiovascular Training Routines: Cardiovascular training routines with an intensity level close to Vo2 Max or 95% Max HR at 30 second to 5 minutes in duration with approximately the same period for rest.
Tempo Style Cardiovascular Training Routines: Cardiovascular training routines with an intensity level equal to approximately 80-90% Max HR. It is sometimes called “threshold training”.
Fartlek Style Cardiovascular Training Routines: Swedish term that means “Speed Play”. It is a combination of Long and Slow Cardio, Interval Cardio and Tempo Cardio mixed into one workout.
Speed and Agility Training Routines: Training routines that improve the participants’ ability to explosively brake, change direction and accelerate again
